In the world of exercise and weight loss fat burners can be
a very controversial topic. There are a million and one products out there that
all promise amazing and fantastic weight loss results with minimum physical
effort from you. The bad news: a vast majority of them do not work, the ones
that do seem to work are basically diuretics i.e. you take them and lose weight
but its all water weight not real fat loss and you gain it back as soon as you
stop taking them!
The best route to fat loss as always is an exercise/ weight
training routine and a controlled diet. However there are some tried and
trusted fat burners that have existed in nature for years. They are backed up
by years of science and research and will help you lose fat (not weight!) in
the quickest possible time. These fat burners can be found as stand alone
supplements or as an ingredient in a commercial fat burner, so please look out
for them before you buy any fat burner ever again. They are easily available in
many pharmacies and health shops and even your local market! (Honestly!). So please do look up these fat burners and
add them to your supplement routine and I promise you better fat burning
results.

CAFFEINE:
When you think of coffee fat burning is probably not the
first thing that comes to your mind. Caffeine is one of the best, most controversial
and most misunderstood natural fat burners around today. Caffeine is known as a
fat releaser in that it helps to
release fat from the fat cells under your skin. To get the best fat burning out
of your caffeine it is best to take caffeinated fat burners before your morning
workout and before meals. A cheaper alternative is to simply take a cup of
black coffee before workouts and before meals. One heaped teaspoon is adequate
and please exercises caution if you feel jittery after consuming coffee, you
may be sensitive to caffeine and I would suggest reducing the dose by half.
YOHIMBE:
This is another natural fat burner that falls under the
category of fat releaser. Yohimbe
has gained fame as a male sex aid supplement (bonus for you!) but it turns out
there is more good from this natural supplement. It is extracted from the bark
of a tree found in West Africa. Like caffeine it pulls fat out of the cells
under your skin so that they are easily burnt off during exercise. Yohimbe is
sold commercially on its own or as an ingredient in fat burner compounds. Look
out for it in pharmacies and health shops near you. Please note: if you suffer
from any heart liver or kidney conditions this product might not be for you.
GREEN TEA EXTRACT:
This is a very popular and effective fat burner, it workers
by helping to raise your metabolism and hence your body’s ability to burn more
calories. It belongs to the category of fat burners known as calorie burners . Unlike Caffeine and
Yohimbe which work by releasing fat to be burned, green tea works by raising
the body’s ability to burn off the fat released hence they complement each
other. Green tea also has added benefits, it is a powerful anti oxidant and
helps in joint and muscle recovery after exercise. When buying green tea
extract, make sure that a dose contains at least 500 milligrams and take it 30
mins to 1 hour before exercise.
CARNITINE:
This supplement is known as a fat transporter, meaning it helps move all that dislodged fat to
the proper place where they can be burned off during daily activity and
exercise. It is absorbed as L-Carnitine into the body and
is an amino acid like substance and is found naturally in meat. However since
we generally do not get enough meat in our diet, taking L- Carnitine
supplements help to bridge the gap. It is best taken before and after workouts.
We are at constant war with fat, we need to consume it to
function yet we need to reduce the amount our bodies store. This is where CLA
comes in, it is a fat burner that is categorized as a fat stopper i.e. it
limits your body’s ability to store fat and is a personal favourite of mine.
CLA is a naturally occurring group of omega 6 fats. Many
studies have shown that CLA increases fat loss while boosting muscle growth and
strength at the same time. CLA supplements are best taken with breakfast, lunch
and dinner. Make sure that you buy one that has between 1 to 3 grams per dose
to be effective.
This a source of omega 3 fatty acids that are essential to
healthy living. Fish oil is a source of “good” fats (EPA) and (DHA). These
omega 3 fats have recently been found to turn on genes that increase fat
burning while turning off genes that increase fat storage not including other
health benefits of fish oil like; enhanced brain function, improved moods,
joint recovery and even elevated muscle growth.
