Celebrities! We love to hate them, and with good reason too!
They are famous, well paid, pampered and often good looking. These people have
the world at their feet and everything going for them. Now you have one more
reason to hate them; they are often in great shape. However before you turn
totally green with envy, there is something about these guys on display today.
They have all worked incredibly hard to get the great physiques they have built
today. If money and wishes could buy you a six pack, I would have a dozen by
now! Since that isn’t going to happen you will have to build the body of your
dreams the old fashioned way, with plenty of sweat and tears!
To help you along the way I have outlined these fit elite; 9
celebs all guys who take fitness and training to the next level. If you can
study their methods and madness and apply it to your workout the sky is the
limit. Now before you shrug and say “I don’t work out” still check out their
stories, they just might inspire you to get off your lazy ass and find that
lost mojo! I would have loved to do a Naija fittest celebrity dozen, but info
is so scarce and our celebs so lazy that it will have to wait for another day. Hope you enjoy this and happy reading this
and do have a lovely day!
What
he did:
Star of Batman and other great movies, he
brings intensity to all his roles. After dropping over 25kg for his role in the
machinist (mostly through a diet of apples and coffee!), Bale had to bulk up from 60kg to 100kg for
his role in Batman. Incredibly he
became too muscular for the role and had to drop 10kg to fit into the bat suit!
He achieved this massive gain in just 5 months by feeding on mostly protein; chicken
and turkey and by eating every 3 hours throughout day! His workout regime included
squats, bench press and shoulder presses. He also included squat jumps for
explosive power. On his motivation Bale say’s “you just can’t pull it off until
you become a beast in the suit”.
What
he did:
Landing the role of a lifetime forced Craig
into the gym to build the body to match the image of the new James Bond in 2006’s Casino Royale. He worked out in the gym 5 times a week to
cut fat and build muscle. He did this by eating 6 times a day and cutting out
carbohydrates from his dinners. He based his diet on fish, eggs, chicken, fruit
and vegetables. He lifted weights from Monday to Friday and his workouts
included; pull ups, squats and push-ups. He also did cardio on the weekends.
Craig also quit smoking and only drank one glass of wine on Saturdays and
Sundays. On his transformation Craig
said; “Look, I’ve got to look like I can kill somebody. If I take my shirt off,
it’s not ‘oh, nice body’ It’s got to be “oh fucking hell, he could do
somebody!”
What
he did:
For a role that saw him win an Oscar for
best actor, Crowe lost over 40 pounds to chisel down his frame to play roman
general and warrior in 1999’s Gladiator.
The feat was even more impressive, given that he had just finished filming “the
inside man” where he had gained 50 pounds of fat! He ate 6 times a day with his
diet consisting of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables.
His workouts included lifting weights, combat training and he also learned how
to sword fight.
What
he did:
At the ripe old age of 48 De Niro chiseled down
his frame to a lean and muscular state with only 5 percent body fat! He needed
to look totally believable as the evil and vengeance obsessed ex- convict Max
Cady in 1991’s Cape Fear. De Niro
cut down on a diet of whole grains, brown rice and green vegetables. He trained
strictly with his own body weight, just like in prison for authenticity. These
included; dips chin ups and push-ups, he also did an incredible 600 abdominal
crunches a day! On his crazy workout De Niro said “You will have time to rest
when you are dead”
What
he did:
He has been bulking up and coming down
since 2000’s X-Men, to play the character in 2013’s the wolverine Jackman bulked up to 215 pounds, his heaviest ever.
The normally lanky Australian had to add on 20 pounds of muscle to his 6’ 2
frame. He did this by consuming about 6000 calories on his workout days, these
included loads of protein, complex carbohydrates, avocados and nuts. He became
quite strong, being able to deadlift over 500 pounds (230kg) on his leg
workouts. Ironically Jackman used to work in a gym before he made it as an
actor, but never touched a weight!
What
he did:
Not your typical Hollywood celebrity,
Norton earns his place on this list by virtue of his stunning 3 month transformation
for the role of a white supremacist in 1998’s American History X. in just 3 months the downright skinny Norton
put on 30 pounds of muscle! Norton achieved this by eating 5 times a day and
consuming protein shakes all day long. His gym workout involved lots of
compound exercises, with plenty of squats and presses with no rest between
sets. This punishing routine helped stimulate his quick muscle growth. So quick
was his progress that Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly called to ask if he was
using steroids! On his character Norton says “ I knew this guy was going to
have to be really physically fearsome and be defined by rage, arming himself
against his own emotional pain and this body he’s created is the physical
manifestation of that.”
What
he did:
He cut his weight down to 155 pound with
hard training and dieting to develop a brawler’s physique for 1999’s Fight club. Pitt relied on a diet of
tuna, eggs, chicken, fish oatmeal and vegetables eaten in six small meals every
day. Pitt trained 4 days a week only; Mondays, chest and back, Wednesdays,
shoulders, Thursdays, arms Fridays cardio and he took the weekends off. He also
trained in Tae Kwon Do and boxing.
What he did:
The former Television comedian

role as a vampire hunter in the 2004 movie Blade
Trinity. He achieved this by eating every 3 hours, consuming about 4000
calories a day. He worked out extensively for about 3 hours a day, six days a
week, doing an impressive 500 to 1000 sit-ups followed by heavy weight lifting.

Glutamine and Multivitamins.
What
he did:
Smith bulked up his tall skinny frame from
185 pounds to a muscular 220 pounds (100kg) to play the role of the greatest in
the 1999 biopic Ali. Not only did he
take intense boxing lessons for 1 year, Smith also followed a classic high
protein, high carbohydrate, moderate fat diet. Smith spent 6 hours a day
boxing, lifting and running (often in snow with combat boots!) Smith got so
strong that by the end of his training he could bench press close to 400 pounds
(180kg!)
HONOURABLE MENTION!
50 Cent in things fall apart!
Pictures speak more than a thousand words! The first time i saw this i thought it was just computer effects, 50 played a cancer victim and wasted away to nothing achieving a great reverse transformation. Just see the movie!
